Heller Black Master — for Hard Hooves and Dry Conditions
The Heller Black Master hoof rasp features a finely spaced tooth pattern across its 40mm wide surface, making hoof trimming more efficient. The Black Master features a rasp and a file side. Its aggressive design allows for faster material removal, which is particularly useful in tough working conditions.
The rasp receives a special surface treatment at the Heller factory which leads to enhanced durability.
When using the Black Master, Mustad advises the following:
- Exercise caution when rasping the hoof’s hind wall, as the Heller Black Master can quickly remove large amounts of hoof material due to the size of its teeth.
- Due to its cutting strength, the rasp may leave visible marks on the hoof wall. To achieve a smooth finish, Mustad suggests following up with the Pro Finish hoof rasp.
