Composite and Urethane Horseshoes

From pony horseshoes in size 50mm to alternative cold-blood horseshoes in size 198mm — our aim is to have the right horseshoe for (almost) every hoof in our range. With a few exceptions, our composite horseshoes can all be nailed or glued. A cast system is also available.

The shock-absorbing plastic coating of our composite horseshoes saves weight (compared to a conventional horseshoe with corresponding additional equipment), minimizes the risk of injury, provides natural slip protection and protects the ground. The stable metal core supports the bony areas of the hoof, ensures optimized pressure distribution and secure hold of the hoof nails.

Our composite and pure plastic horseshoes are equipped with different features to meet the special requirements of your horse, allowing you to respond individually to the hoof situation and the horse's needs.

• For example, does your horse need more or less stability? You have the choice from flexible, pure plastic shoes without a metal core that are as close to the hoof as possible to our Straight Bar Shoe.
• For more grip, there are horseshoes with a deeper profile or with cleat holes.
• If the hoof situation requires special hoof protection, e.g. in the case of laminitis, our open-toed "founder shoes" could be an option.
• Last but not least, the time of year and therefore the temperature and ground conditions also play a major role. Our horseshoes are available in two different degrees of hardness. The softer plastic of the Standard horseshoes remains flexible even in the cold and retains its shock-absorbing properties; the harder material of the Extra horseshoes, on the other hand, is more heat-resistant and remains more abrasion-resistant even at higher temperatures.
