Drive-in studs for steel shoes

While our daily work primarily focuses on our alternative horseshoes, we also offer a few products for classic steel shoes. These include our drive-in studs, also known as Speedies.

Installing the Speedies into the steel shoe is quick and easy.

• Use a metal drill bit to drill a hole with a diameter of 8.4 mm into the steel shoe.
• Drive the stud into the steel shoe using a hammer. As long as the hole has been drilled precisely, riveting or welding the stud is not necessary.
• The steel shoe equipped with drive-in studs can now be used for shoeing as usual.

Whether you’re a farrier or a horse owner: To prevent injuries to both humans and animals, we strongly recommend reading and following our safety guidelines when using our products. The use of drive-in studs as well as monitoring their correct placement and condition throughout the shoeing period is at the discretion of the rider or horse owner in cooperation with the local farrier. Speed—especially on slippery surfaces and in winter conditions—must always be adjusted accordingly by the rider. To prevent injuries, reduce speed as needed. If your horse is stabled at a boarding facility, please also coordinate the use of studs with other boarders or the barn owner.
